Assyrian American Cultural Organization of Arizona (AACO)

The Assyrian American Cultural Organization of Arizona (AACO), founded in 2012, promotes Assyrian culture and heritage through social, educational, and sports initiatives. As an affiliate of the Assyrian American National Federation, it unites the Assyrian community in Arizona and supports youth and professionals. AACO’s achievements include the Assyrian New Year proclamation in the state and the opening of the first Assyrian Community Center in 2024. Assyrians, with over 6770 years of history, contributed significantly to civilization despite enduring tragic events such as the 1915 genocide and the 2014 ISIS attacks.
